My Story.

Trust the Process

I’m a pretty organised person and like to make plans. But when you’re working with fluid media, you can’t plan too much. You have to work with what unfolds before your eyes. That can be very healing and helpful to be in the present moment.

The paintings are created in two phases: Only after the ink has dried can I paint them with acrylic. Because of the time gap, I see the work with completely new eyes when I pick it up again. I love that! I always choose an artwork that reflects my mood of the day.

Working that way helps me learn to trust the process. Not only while painting, but also in life. I am learning that sometimes beautiful things can come out of something that I thought was “ failed“ in the first place.

“Can you imagine how happy you are when you are invited to show your art in public? When what you do with love is also enjoyed by others, the joy couldn’t be greater.”
